Family Tree

GenealogyArchivesHistoryBelarusPoland

I’ve been researching my family history — the Lyutarevich (Lutorowicz) line — tracing roots across Belarus, Poland, and Russia.

What I’ve found so far

The family name appears in multiple spelling variants across languages and centuries: Лютаревич, Люторович, Лютерович in Russian; Lutorowicz, Lutarewicz in Latin script. The trail leads to the Minsk Governorate — specifically the village of Rovanichi (Czerwień district) and Bieliczany area.

Through the maternal great-grandmother’s line (Kolodynski / Kołodyński), there are connections to the szlachta — the Kolodynski family belonged to the herb Kolodyn, documented in the Nowogrodek land and Minsk Governorate. Their noble status was confirmed by the Department of Heraldry of the Governing Senate in St. Petersburg in the 19th century.

What’s next

A dedicated genealogy website is in the works — it will host the full family tree, document scans, archival references, and an interactive map of family movements across generations.
